Anas rhynchotis  

These birds were a long way off hence no close up photo but it was great to see them as they were new to me as was the Australasian Bittern on the other side of the dam wall!

Altogether it was a great day of birding which had started out as a speculative trip based on rumour of an Australasian Bittern and some very fuzzy directions.
